DA for newsmen to be announced next week: Inu
DHAKA, May 27, 2018 (BSS)- Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu, MP, announced yesterday that the much anticipated Dearness Allowance (DA) for journalists, as recommended by the Wage Board, would probably be gazetted next week(week starting Sunday).
He made the announcement at a meeting at the Dhaka Reporters' Unity (DRU) auditorium here.
The minister explained that they had completed the necessary formalities and now everything was ready for the promulgation.
Scoffing at the idea of proposals for across-the-board unity, he said "The idea of Razakars and Freedom Fighters marching together was preposterous."
The meeting was also addressed by the Media Advisor of the Prime Minister, Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury.
