Rowshan for concerted efforts to expedite development process

MYMENSINGH, May 26, 2018 (BSS) - Opposition Leader Begum Rowshan Ershad today urged all to work unitedly for the development of the country.

"Let us work together for the betterment of the country and specially Mymensingh region...Besides, try to build Trishal as a modern upazila," she said.

She was speaking as the chief guest at a discussion on the second day of the three-day national programme marking the 119th birth anniversary of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam at Darirampur Nazrul Mancha in Trishal upazila of Mymensingh.

Rowshan said Nazrul was a source of inspiration in the country's national movements. His poetry, songs and other literary works greatly inspired the people irrespective of their religion and caste, she added.

Deputy Commissioner Dr Shubhash Chandra Biswas presided over the programme. Officials and local people, among others, were present at the discussion.
