Govt working for development of agriculture, education, human resources: Azad

DHAKA, Nov 17, 2012 (BSS) - Cultural Affairs Minister Abul Kalam Azad today said the government is working for development of agriculture and human resources and to ensure quality education among the new generation.

"The Awami League government is committed to keep law and order under control and develop human resource for leading the country forward," he said while addressing as the chief guest at a reception programme on "Agriculture, Education, Peace, Environment and Human Service" at Sufia Kamal auditorium at National Museum here.

Earth Bangladesh arranged the function with Dr Anisuzzaman in the chair.

It was also addressed, among others, by Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu, State Minister for Water Resources Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman and Justice Gour Gopal Saha.

Later, the minister gave certificates to dignified personalities for their remarkable contributions in separate sector, said an official statement.

The minister said every person wants recognition of his/her own achievement.

He urged all to work hard in their respective field for building 'Sonar Bangla' as dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
