Six-day conference of WHO begins tomorrow

DHAKA, May 20, 2018 (BSS) - The 71st conference of the World Health Organization (WHO) is set to begin tomorrow in Geneva, Switzerland.

A team led by Health and Family Welfare Mohammed Nasim reached Geneva to attend the conference.

Other members of the team are Secretary of Health Service Division Sirajul Haque Khan, Chairman of Bangladesh Medical Research Council Dr Syed Modasser Ali, Additional Secretary Habibur Rahman, Chairman of Bangladesh Breastfeeding Foundation Dr SK Roy and Chairman of Bangladesh Homeopathic Board Dr Dilip Roy.

Top officials, researchers, physicians from member countries of WHO, are expected to participate in the conference.

The six-day conference will focus on non-communicable diseases as well as the activities of Universal Health Coverage (UHC).
