PM for proper distribution of student stipend

DHAKA, May 23, 2018 (BSS)- Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today asked the concerned officials to take appropriate measures for proper distribution of the stipends and other education facilities to poor and brilliant students taken by the government under the PM's education trust fund.

The premier gave the directives in the fifth meeting of the Prime Minister's Education Assistance Trust Fund at Prime Minister's Office here today.

PM's press secretary Ihsanul Karim said the Prime Minister, who is also the chairperson of the trust, asked the officials to take steps for activation of the e-stipend system so facilitate the students getting the assistance online.

The meeting reviewed the activities of the trust and current situation of fund as well as stipend programmes of 2018, the press secretary said.

Members of the trust Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid, Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal and Minister for Primary and Mass Education Mustafizur Rahman, among others, attended the meeting.

Members of the trust congratulated the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and PM's advisor on ICT affairs Sajeeb Ahmed Joy for successful launching of Bangabandhau Satellite-1.
