VoIP equipment worth TK 1.20-cr seized, two held in city
DHAKA, May 26, 2018 (BSS) - Police arrested two persons along with a huge quantity of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) equipment worth about Tk 1.20 crore from the city's Uttara area.
"We arrested two persons identifying them as Md Mehedi Hasan and Anwar Hossain along with four VoIP machine, three laptops, three CPU (computer Processing Unit), nine modem, 12,500 mobile SIM cards and VoIP equipment from a house at sector-14 on road-12 In Uttara few days back," said a police official today.
A case was lodged with Uttara Pashchim Police Station to this end.
The arrestees, who were put on remand for one day, confessed their link to illegal VoIP trading, he added.
